Welcome to "The Bread of Life! "
There is a dear brother at our church by the name of Dec. O. B. Crayton. This is an outstanding brother that has inspired many, not only by his good deeds unto people, but by his Powerful testimony. You see, every time he tells of the “Goodness” of God, not only does the testimony makes him happy, but it brings joy and comfort to others that listen to it. I can’t tell you about the testimony; although he does not mind me telling you about it, but I can tell you this, that it brings HOPE.
In every story of the Bible, there is always a situation that seems hopeless. You can find your favorite Bible story and in that story you will find how the devil made it look like that there was no end in sight. But just when he thought he had them, you will find that their belief and Hope in God brought them OUT!
This is the best time to be saved! “Why do you make that statement that Evg. Martin?” because we that are saved through Jesus Christ or Lord, have much to look forward to in these last and evil days.For we which are alive, will be looking for that
“Blessed Hope” Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Titus 2:13
Yes, this will be a glorious time that we must have hope in, because all of our troubles will cease; all of our bad days will be good, all of sick days will be over, and all of the tears of sadness will become tears of joy. This is what we are looking for. I must also declare that in this time, it is the best time to be a witness for God. Many who may have questions or had a different belief will have no doubt about the word of God because all the things that have been written are coming to past, and who better to tell of His Love, His Sacrifice, and His Grace than You. Thus we can give this type of hope “Comforting Hope”. 13But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words. 1Thes 4:13-18
The bible gives us many other statements of Hope. “Purifying Hope” 2Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. 1Jhn3:2-3.
And then “Rewarding Hope” 8Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2Tim 4:8
So you can see that if you believe in Jesus Christ, then you will have hope. You will have this hope because of his promises to us. He said it and I Believe It! For He is not slack concerning his promises, for His promises are yea and amen.
